Mike Macdonald shared an update on injured quarterback Geno Smith during
his weekly spot on Seattle Sports 710AM.
One day after Geno Smith exited Sunday’s game with a knee injury, Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald addressed his quarterback’s status during his weekly appearance on Seattle Sports 710AM.
While Macdonald is still waiting for test results and couldn’t provide many
specifics, he mentioned that Smith sounded optimistic about the injury
during their text exchange on Monday morning.
"He seemed optimistic when I texted with him this morning, so that’s a
positive sign," Macdonald said.
Macdonald later noted that, as of now, there is a chance Smith could play in this week's game against Minnesota. When asked to clarify his comments from Sunday, where he mentioned that "structurally it looks like it’s OK," Macdonald explained, "They ran the tests and everything seemed intact. He had an X-ray, and there were no fractures."
